GitHub Copilot Can Now Control Your Computer 🤯

GitHub just launched Computer Use in public preview for Copilot CLI and the Copilot app on macOS and Windows.

Copilot can now:
click buttons,
type and edit text,
scroll,
drag,
press keys,
and move through workflows across desktop apps.

This is especially useful for software that doesn’t have an API, CLI or MCP integration.

You still stay in control — Copilot can ask for permission before controlling apps, and organizations can disable the feature.

AI coding tools are slowly moving beyond the code editor.
