Amazon has redesigned the Kindle Colorsoft for 2026, but how different is it from the first Colorsoft? There’s also one particularly interesting change that Amazon didn’t mention in its announcement: according to Amazon’s VP of Kindle, Kevin Keith, the new Kindles feature user-replaceable batteries to meet EU regulations.
