In this beginner-friendly tutorial, I’ll show you how to build and deploy a fully functional, custom web application to a live public link completely for free! We are using Google AI Studio to generate our code, and the best part is that you do not need a credit card, a paid developer account, or expensive hardware. I’m running this entire pipeline on a refurbished Chromebook that I purchased for about $67—but you can follow along on any Windows, Mac, or ChromeOS computer.
One of the coolest parts of this build is using Google AI Studio to write, debug, and iterate on the code for our game: “Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock”. You’ll see exactly how I prompted the AI to create a custom UI, select a vibrant theme, edit code elements, and expand the game mechanics. We will also hook up our code repository to Vercel for free hosting and link a custom domain using GoDaddy DNS records.
